EcDEESHA, in collaboration, with Peoples' Training and Research Centre (PTRC), Vadodara, recently organized an intensive workshop on Diabetes Care Management for 'AAYUSH' doctors and other Medical Officers associated with Tribhuvandas Foundation, Anand.
Dr. Anushree Mehta, a renowned Diabetologist working with Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Mumbai and Kasturba Health Society, Mumbai was invited by EcDEESHA to conduct this one-day workshop in Anand.
Dr. Anushree covered the basics of Diabetes management and its complications whereas EcDEESHA team member Dr. Ruchi Vaidya spoke about the importance of Nutrition in Diabetes and the correct nutritive practices to be followed by diabetics. Ms. Mridula Bhargava (Manager, Public Health) also addressed the participants by demonstrating various devices used in Diabetes treatment such as syringes, insulin pumps and glucometer. She also engaged the participants in various fun activities cum exercise sessions so as to actively involve the attendants of the workshop.
Dr. Nikhil Kharod, CEO, Tribhuvandas Foundation spoke highly about the team efforts of EcDEESHA and PTRC and expressed hope for many such informative workshop sessions in the future.
